Magical 3 Ingredient Low-FODMAP Cake Pan Release Paste; Gluten-free, Vegan

Although this recipe has not been tested, a single serving should be low-FODMAP based on the ingredients

Yield: about 2 cups

Serving size: 2-3 tbsp per cake pan (serves multiple)

modified from: www.ifyougiveablondeakitchen.com

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup plain low-FODMAP rice flour, gluten-free. If you are making a chocolate cake, you may substitute cocoa powder
    • I used superfine rice flour (Authentic Foods brand).  You may be able to substitute an all-purpose low-FODMAP gluten-free flour, but I did not try that
  • 1/2 cup vegetable shortening (I use organic)
  • 1/2 cup canola oil

Directions

  • In the bowl of a stand mixer (or use a hand mixer) place shortening and beat until smooth
  • Add oil and low-FODMAP, gluten-free rice flour and beat ingredients thoroughly until well combined
  • Store in a sealed jar at room temperature (for up to 3 months)
  • When ready to use, stir mixture, then dip a pastry brush in paste and coat baking pan with a generous layer
    • Make sure to coat all sides and edges or fancy grooves
  • Suitable for any recipe that calls for greasing and flouring your pans (like muffin tins or pound cake pans)

MAGIC!  My low-FODMAP Lemon Blueberry Buttermilk Bundt Cake just fell out of the pan 🙂
