Everyone loves a grill-out, and steak is the perfect grilling food.  This low-FODMAP recipe is super easy, it requires no pre-marinating and results in seasoned, delicious, tender beef along with excellent vegetables.

Even more awesome- using my low-FODMAP Happy Spice Steak Seasoning creates perfect tasting steak every time.  Ready in a snap (see notes below for a substitute if you don’t have low-FODMAP steak seasoning).

Low-FODMAP Easy Steak Kabobs Recipe; Gluten-free, Dairy-free

Although this recipe has not been tested, a single serving should be low-FODMAP based on the ingredients *using available FODMAP data at time of posting

Serves 6-8

Prep time: 10 min

Cook time: 15 min

Total time: 25 min

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons garlic-infused olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons low-FODMAP Steak Seasoning
    • Can also use 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika, 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, 1/2 teaspoon dried chives, and a pinch red pepper flakes
  • 2 pounds (32 ounces) sirloin steak, cut in 1-inch cubes
  • 1 red bell pepper (about 100g), seeded and cut in 1-inch pieces
  • 1 medium zucchini, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper (about 100g), seeded and cut in 1-inch pieces
  • 1 lime, sliced in half (optional for garnish)
  • 8 (12-inch) skewers
    • If using wooden skewers, soak in water for about 30 minutes first

Directions

  • Add the cubed sirloin steak and vegetables to olive oil and garlic infused oil, and toss to coat
  • Thread onto the skewers alternating steak with pieces of bell pepper and zucchini
  • Season kabobs with the steak seasoning and let stand for about 10 minutes
  • Grill kebabs over medium heat, turning often, until all sides of the meat are well browned and vegetables are tender (About 12 to 15 minutes)
  • Serve immediately, with limes on side.  Goes great with low-FODMAP Rice Quinoa Medley
